Keith Javors is busy rehearsing and tracking, “Dare You To Move”, his eighth full-length jazz recording this Winter. Following the spirit of the popular Switchfoot title track, this latest project traverses genres from straight ahead and progressive jazz to pop and R&B to Gospel in an outing that speaks for unification, redemption and personal growth. Joining him are artists Ray Callender (trumpet), Todd Delgiudice (alto saxophone), Juan Rollan (tenor saxophone), Taylor Roberts (guitar), Stan Piper (bass), Stefan Klein (drums), and Akia Uwanda (vocals). The upcoming record of largely original compositions is a 20-year follow to his critically-acclaimed 2005 hard bop recording on the Zoho Music label, Mo’ City Jungle, which was similarly recorded in the North Florida area and utilizing several of the original members of that group. The songs are autobiographical and span themes of romantic love, overcoming pain and hardship, reconciliation, and hope.
